She sits at her desk, her pen moving in such a way as to suggest dancing as she loses herself in the music coming from her speakers. The pen stops suddenly as her other hand goes to the small remote sitting next to a burning candle. She presses a button effectivly quieting the music. She moves her red streaked gold hair from where lightly pointed ears sit, trying to hear the sound that tore her from her thoughts. Light orange eyes flicker around the room trying to figure out where the noise originated. Her pen rests on the desk as she rises from her chair.
Her sight lands on the bookshelves made of a pretty type of wood that escapes her, with their multitudes of books, scrolls, notebooks and binders. A stereo system sits in an aclove near her desk, with its flashing numbers waiting to continue on with its music, holds no interest for the piercing gaze. Neither does the chairs and the small table settled between them hold her interest.
Her eyes shift to the items upon her desk. Her phone with its many buttons, the burning candle with flame dancing happily, sending out its calming scent, the little desk lamp sitting dark, the pen that she was playing with, now lying upon the papers with notes on a client.
Once more she moves her oddly colored gaze to a window, where a gentle breeze plays with the light, gauzy curtains, making them dance gently. Finally satisfied that nothing is out of order she sits once more, pressing another button on her remote. A song about stolen life starts to play.
Suddenly a shadow falls over her from behind. Her hand clunches at the remote, inadvertently turning the volume up.
"Who....?" is all she is able to get out as she turns and gasps as a wire winds around her neck, slicing into the skin and cutting her breath off. A small struggle ensuse as she tries to get away, tries to pull the wire away, tries and fails. Slowly her vision turns dull, blacking out as death comes to claim her prize. She hears nothing. She sees nothing. She knows no more.
The man smiles with soft, pink lips, his androgenous looks making him seem like an innocent. He gazes upon the womans body laying upon the floor with mettalic silver eyes. His gaze moves towards the stereo, listening to the words. He smiles bigger.
"Yes, her life was stolen. With a splash of blood her sins have been forgiven by the one who knows them oh so well," he says in a soft alto toned voice.
He moves silently around the chair, towards the shadows behind the desk with a cat like grace. He steps into the shadows with nary a look back and disappears, just like he was never there.

When I reached the end of this, I wanted more! You had me intrigued and I wanted to read more about it. The word choice was good.
